Cleaning and maintenance must not
be carried out by children unless they
are supervised.

Children must not be allowed to play
with the appliance. Children must be
supervised to ensure they do not play
with the appliance.

Make sure children do not have unsu-
pervised access to the appliance.

Do not leave children unsupervised
near the appliance, irrespective of
whether it is switched on or off. They
can become trapped in the drum
when playing, putting their lives in
danger.

Children under the age of three
should be kept away, unless they are
under constant supervision.
Risks in handling washing
machines
Risk of poisoning!
Washing detergents and fabric-care
products can be harmful to health.

Keep these products out of the reach
of children and pets.
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and property damage.
■
Only connect the appliance to a
properly installed and earthed elec-
tric socket. Do not connect to a mul-
ti-socket extension cable or a mul-
ti-socket plug.
Risk of scalding!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to scalding caused by hot suds.
■
If you have attached the water outlet
hose to the edge of the sink or bath,
there is a risk of scalding caused by
hot suds. The sink or bath may not be
used while the washing machine is in
use.
■
Firmly fi x the hose to the basin, sink
or bath to prevent it from slipping
due to the recoil caused by pumping.
■
For washbasins and sinks in particu-
lar, make sure that the cross section
of the discharge pipe is great enough
that the washbasin or sink cannot
overfl ow.
■
Allow the hot suds to cool before
draining the remaining water (e.g.
when emptying in the case of an
emergency).
■
Never force open the loading door.
Danger of explosion!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to explosions.

Do not wash any textiles in the wash-
ing machine that have been treated
with chemical cleaning agents such
as white spirit or stain remover short-
ly before. Air them out them fi rst, un-
til dry.
■
Do not store highly fl ammable or
combustible liquids near the washing
machine.
