Determine water hardness
In order to determine the water hardness in
your place of residence, you can
– look on the website of your water provider.
– telephone your water supplier.
– purchase suitable test strips at the
pharmacy.

1. Obtain the appropriate setting from the
table above.
2. Close the dishwasher door.

3. If the dishwasher is switched on, switch it
off with the (1) button.
Adjusting the water hardness
Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following steps, otherwise the
setting process will be interrupted.

1. Close the dishwasher door.
2. Switch on the dishwasher using the (1)
button.
3. Press and hold the
P
button (4) for as
long as required until the current water
hardness is shown on the display:
H1
to
H6
.
4. Press the
P
button (4) as many times as
necessary to display the required hard-
ness level.
5. Switch the dishwasher off using the (1)
button.
The hardness level setting is saved.
Test run
It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in order
to remove residues from the manufacturing
process and in order to ensure that the appli-
ance functions perfectly.
If no water escapes during the test run and if
there are no unusual noises, the appliance is
ready to use.
Carry out this test run when the dishwasher is
empty and without any dishwasher detergent.
