MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
Normal Measurement
Used for stable samples when normal accuracy is required, normal measurement takes about
10 seconds.
During normal measurement AVG tag is not displayed and the LED is on for a minimum of 7 seconds.
1. Press READ
to start the measurement. The display will show blinking dashes and the icons for
cuvette, detectors and LED will appear during measurement.
2. At the end of the measurement, the instrument displays turbidity in FNU.
Continuous Measurement
Used for fast settling samples or when several measurements have to be taken over a short period
of time.
It is the recommended measurement mode for indexing cuvettes as lifting the lid open after a first
reading will not generate errors.
During continuous measurement the first reading value is displayed after 10 seconds and new
readings are displayed every second.
1. Keep READ
pressed until the desired number of measurements are taken. The display will
show blinking dashes and the icons for cuvette, detectors and LED will appear. When a new
value is displayed, the cuvette icon and the measurement unit are briefly displayed blinking.
2. The last reading value remains displayed after the READ
key is released.
Averaged Measurement
Used for unstable samples that cause random noise during readings, as averaging reduces this effect
allowing for accurate measurements to be produced.
Recommended also for high-accuracy measurements. In the average mode, 10 measurements are
averaged in a short period of time (about 20 seconds). The initial value is displayed after 10 seconds
and intermediate values are displayed every second.
1. Press AVG
. AVG icon is displayed on the LCD.
2. Press READ
to start. The display will show blinking dashes and the icons for cuvette, detectors
and LED will appear during measurement. When a new partial value is displayed, the cuvette
icon and the measurement unit are briefly displayed blinking.
