METHOD PROCEDURE
• Fill three cuvettes with 10 mL of reacted
sample (up to the mark).
• Add 1 drop of
HI93719C-0
Magnesium
Hardness Reagent C to one cuvette.
Replace the plastic stopper and the cap.
Swirl to mix the solution. This is the zero
(cuvette #1).
• Add 1 drop of
HI93719D-0
Magnesium
Hardness Reagent D to the second
cuvette. Replace the plastic stopper and
the cap. Swirl to mix the solution. This is
the magnesium hardness sample (cuvette
#2).
• Replace the plastic stopper and the cap on
cuvette #3. This is the calcium hardness
sample (cuvette #3).
• Insert the cuvette #1 into the holder
and ensure that the notch on the cap is
positioned securely in the groove.
• Press
Zero
. The display will show “-0.0-” when the meter is zeroed and ready for
measurement.
