TAKING MEASUREMENTS

The meter is factory calibrated for ppm and temeprature.

Press the ON/OFF key to turn
the meter on.

Immerse the probe into the so-
lution to be tested. The water
level must be above the hole
on the sleeve. If possible, tap
the probe to remove any air
bubbles that may be trapped
inside.
Allow for the reading to stabi-
lize. The  LCD displays the
ppm reading.

Press the RANGE key to view
the temperature reading.
Press RANGE again to return
to ppm reading.

If the ppm reading is out of range, the “---” indication
is displayed. If the temperature reading is out of range,
the “°C” symbol blinks.

HOLD FUNCTION

To freeze the current measure-
ment on the LCD, press and
hold the RANGE/HOLD key for
about 3 seconds.

When the hold function is active, the LCD displays
alternatively the

“HLd”

 indication and the frozen read-

ing.
Press RANGE to switch from ppm to temperature read-
ing.
Press the ON/OFF key to exit the hold mode and
return to normal operation.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

To prolong the battery life, the meter switches itself off
after 5 minutes of non-use.
Variations in readings or fading display can indicate
weak batteries.
If the batteries are too weak to support proper opera-
tions, the LCD displays the message “Eb” and then the
meter switches itself off.
Battery replacement must only take place in a non-
hazardous area using AAA-type 1.5V, alkaline batteries.

In order to replace run down
batteries, simply remove the
two screws on the bottom
cover and replace the two 1.5V
AAA batteries with new ones,
paying attention to the correct
polarity.

New batteries allow approx. 1000 hours  of continuous
use (with 1175mA/h batteries).
