Supplying Power to the Charger
The Double Vision Peak Charger can be powered by connecting it to a 12V power source, such as an
automobile 12V battery, 12V DC power supply, or your powered through your field box power panel! To
supply power through your power panel, install the DC power.
DC Power: Attach the red (positive) alligator clip to the red (positive) terminal of your 12V DC power
source. Then attach the black (negative) alligator clip to the black (negative) terminal of the 12V DC
power source. Make sure that you hook up the charger to the correct polarity of the 12V-power source.
During the charge cycle, the faceplate of the charger will become warm.
Charging 4/5-Cell Receiver Batteries
The Double Vision Peak Charger comes equipped with a universal receiver plug so you can charge all
major brands of receiver batteries. It will charge 270mAh to 2800mAh 4.8 to 6-volt receiver packs. If you
are charging through the charge switch mounted in your aircraft, make sure the receiver switch is off.
To charge your 4- or 5-cell receiver battery, follow this simple procedure:
• Connect the Double Vision Peak Charger to an appropriate 12V DC power supply.
• Turn on the “Power” switch located on the lower left of the faceplate. The green power lamp will
come on.
• Set the selector switch (located at the bottom right of the faceplate, directly below the LED display
for the receiver) to match the number of cells in your battery pack. Plug the universal connector into
receiver battery, either through the switch harness mounted on your airplane or directly to the pack.
(4 cell = 4.8 volt, 5 cell = 6 volts)
• Push the “Start/Charge” button to begin the charge cycle (about 800mA).
You may monitor the progress of the charge cycle by watching the LEDs climb the steps to full charge
level. When fully charged, all red LEDs will be fully on and the green LED will flash.
Note: The Double Vision has a built-in safety feature of automatically cutting off the charge cycle after
105 minutes. If you are charging a receiver apck that is rated over 1400mAh, you may have to puch the
“Charge” button again (depending on the state of your battery) if the Double Vision automatically shuts
off after 105 minutes of charging.
CAUTION: Do not use extensions with the battery charger lead. To do so can cause a false peak and
the battery may not be properly charged.
Charging Transmitter Packs
