Other screen information
In the case of failed recording, the hand must be
reinserted. The reasons may be:
- hand movement during recording,
- early withdraw of the hand,
- wrong position of the hand.
After logging in with the RFID card, the
measurement must be started within 2 minutes,
otherwise the system automatically logs out the user.
The system logs out after each measurement and the welcome screen reappears.
Wash your hands with soap and water before returning to work.
In case of malfunction, reset the device using the On/Off touch button.
6.2. Handwash mode
Using the Semmelweis Scanner in
Handwash
mode, can teach you the proper hand washing
technique. The principle of
Handwash
mode is creating artificial contamination on the hands
via applying a UV-labeled agent to the entire surface of the hands with GlitterBug Potion
(
section 5.3
.) then washing it with soap and warm water following the WHO guidelines. After
this procedure the effectiveness of hand washing is checked with the Semmelweis Scanner. In
this mode, the green areas on the result images represent the areas that have been properly
washed, while the red ones are those from which the special agent, i.e., the dirt, has not been
properly removed. The hand washing technique is perfect if the result is 100%.
6.3. Mixed mode
In
Mixed
mode, the device is suitable for both
Handrub
and
Handwash
mode.
First apply GlitterBug Potion and check the effectiveness of handrubbing in
Handrub
mode.
Application of the agent is appropriate if a completely green (100%) result is obtained.
Otherwise, repeat the application of the special agent until getting a perfect result. Then wash
your hands with soap and warm water following the WHO guidelines, then use a switch card
to change the measurement method to
Handwash
mode. In this mode, the green areas on the
result images represent the areas that have been properly washed, while the red ones are those
from which the special agent, i.e., the dirt, has not been properly removed. The hand washing
technique is perfect if the result is 100%.
