Speed Control in LANGUAGE Mode
You can control play speed in LANGUAGE mode by pressing the REW
button. There are five speed levels; one press each increases the speed
(first press- the lowest, forth press-the highest, and fifth press-back to
normal)

Volume Control in LANGUAGE Mode

If you wish to adjust volume while in Language mode, you first need to
change the mode to Volume. To adjust volume in Language mode, hold
down the Play button while in Play.
To increase or decrease volume, press FF (

return to Language mode, hold down the PLAY button until it switches.
