TECHNICAL PRODUCT INFORMATON
1. Remove the lid and dismount the hydrostatic release units.
2. Inspect the box and lid carefully for any cracks or damage. Also make sure that the PE foam insulation is in good shape and position.
If there are any problems exchange the Polar Box.
3. Follow the installation procedure above 1 – 8 for the replacement units.
REPLACEMENT
INSTALLATION
1. Lashing - Mark the expiry date on the hydrostatic release unit according to the H20 mounting instruction. Note – only use Hammar
model HR-0160 for the Polar Box lashing.
2. Install the hydrostatic release unit according to the picture (1)
3. Cable cutting - Mark the expiry date on the hydrostatic release unit according to the H20
mounting instruction. Note – only use Hammar model HR-0130 for POLAR Box cable cutting.
4. Mount the hydrostatic release unit on the cable according to Viking instruction.
5. Install the hydrostatic release unit according to the picture (2)
7. Mark the expiry date on the enclosed grey date label and position
it visible on the outside of the Polar Box. (3)
6. Fit the lid and screw it tightly in position and make sure that it seals correctly.
8. Install the Polar Box on the liferaft according to the enclosed pictures
