or knobs.

To protect against risk of electrical
shock do not immerse cord, plug or
cooking unit in water or other liquid.

Close supervision is necessary when
any appliance is used by or near chil-
dren.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before
cleaning.

Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the appli-
ance malfunctions or has been dropped
or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-
free customer service number for
information on examination, repair or
electrical or mechanical adjustment.

The use of accessory attachments not 
recommended by Hamilton Beach/
Proctor-Silex may cause hazards or
injuries.

Do not use outdoors.

9.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table
or counter, or touch hot surfaces, includ-
ing the stove.

10.

Do not place on or near a hot gas or 
electric burner, or in a heated oven.

11.

Extreme caution must be used when
moving an appliance containing hot oil
or other hot liquids.

12.

To disconnect, remove plug from wall
outlet.

13.

Do not use appliance for other than
intended use.

14.

Do not use appliance unattended.

When using this appliance, provide 
4 to 6 inches air space above, behind
and on both sides for air circulation. Do
not use on surfaces where heat may
cause a problem.

Make sure that neither the cord nor
yourself touch any hot part of the 
appliance due to danger of burning.

17.

Place the appliance only on a dry and
level surface.

18.

Never remove the waffle with any kind of
cutting device or other metallic kitchen
utensil.

19.

Always allow the appliance to cool down
completely before putting it away and
never wind the cord around the appli-
ance while it is still hot.

Only reheat whole waffles in toaster. 
Do not reheat Waffle Stix

individually.

Reheat on lowest toaster setting.

Care must be taken when breaking 
waffles into sticks as waffles are hot.
Allow to cool approximately 10 seconds
before breaking.

Do not break into sticks while waffle is in
waffle baker. Remove the waffle prior to
breaking. Do not use metal utensils as
they will scratch the non-stick surface.

This appliance is intended for household 
use only.

No user serviceable parts inside. Refer 
servicing to qualified service personnel.
If the appliance has a grounded-type 3-wire
cord, and an extension cord is used, it
must also be a grounded-type 3-wire cord.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do
not operate another high wattage appliance
on the same circuit with the waffle baker.

Your waffle baker will be equipped with
one of the following types of plugs:

Polarized plug:

This type of plug has one

blade wider than the other. The plug will fit
into an electrical outlet only one way. This
is a safety feature intended to help reduce
the risk of electrical shock. If you are unable
to insert the plug into the outlet, try revers-
ing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit,
contact a qualified electrician to replace the
obsolete outlet. Do not attempt to defeat
the safety purpose of the polarized plug by 
modifying the plug in any way.

Grounded-type 3-wire cord (3-prong plug):

This type of plug will only fit into an electri-
cal outlet made for a 3-prong plug. This is a
