6-7-3 INPUT SLIT LENGTH ADJUSTMENT
The slit length is continuously adjustable in the range 0 mm to 15 mm by sliding the V-curtain
vertically. Please note the effective photocathode area of the C10910 is limited to
approximately 4.4 mm, therefore 4.4 mm to 15 mm setting is ineffective. In addition, the slit
length should be set no longer than necessary to prevent stray light and other extraneous
light from entering the streak tube.
Moreover, when large slit length is set, the fall of the temporal resolution by the figure
distortion of the circumference may be caused.
When M10916 series is included in components, slit length fine adjustment plate is included.

6-7-4 HOW TO EXCHANGE THE SLIT LENGTH ADJUSTMENT PLATE
By exchanging the standard slit length adjustment plate for the slit length fine adjustment
plate which is included in M10916-xx dual time base extender unit series, the length of a slit
can be finely adjusted from about 100
µ
m.
Since the replacement procedure of this adjustment plate is shown below, please refer to it.
(1) In order to prevent fall of the adjustment plate, as shown in the following
figures, it fixes on a tape, and open a slit.
