The »Uni 2Q4« plug-in charger is suitable for AA and AAA – sized rechargeable NiCd/NiMH batteries.
Please note the following before you use the charger:
• Charge the enclosed batteries before use!
• The AA and AAA – size batteries can only be charged in pairs (i.e. 2 or 4 batteries).
If only 2 batteries are charged, insert them in the two charging slots on the front or real charging
compartments. For each pair, only use batteries of the same size. The rechargeable batteries can also be in
combination: e.g. 2 AA batteries in the front charging and 2 AAA batteries in the real charging compartments.
The left LED indicates proper contact has been established for the two front charging compartments and the
right LED for the real front charging compartments. The two LEDs remain on when the batteries are fully
charged.
• In order to charge AAA batteries, you must press the contact bridge down in the charging compartment unit it
locks into place. (I)
Calculating charging times (for fully discharged batteries):
Charging time (h) = battery capacity x charging factor
Example 1: 2 x AA batteries, 2000 mAh capacity
2000 mAh x 0.006 = 12.0 h
Example 2: 4 x AAA batteries, 800 mAh capacity
800 mAh x 0.019 = 15.2h
