1. Battery charging function:
• Connect the “Delta Plus” charging unit to the 100 V–240 V power supply unit or the vehicle
power supply unit.
• If the green USB LED (A) button lights up, press the USB button (C) once. The LED should
switch off.
• Insert two or four NiMH/NiCd batteries of the same type into the charging unit, observing
proper polarity.
• The two LEDS (D) on the front of the unit show that it is charging. They indicate the following:
LED lights up red:
The batteries are being charged
LED fl ashes red:
Incorrect or defective battery inserted
LED lights up green:
The batteries are fully charged
2. USB charging function:
• Connect the “Delta Plus” charging unit to the 100 V–240 V power supply unit or the vehicle
power supply unit.
• Check whether the green USB LED (A) switches on. If it does not, press the USB button (C)
once (see illustration). The LED (A) should now switch on.
• Now, connect your USB device (MP3 player, digital camera, etc.) to the USB port (B).
Your USB device should now switch to charging mode.
3. USB power reserve:
• Insert
four
completely charged
NiMH/NiCd AA
rechargeable batteries into the
battery compartment.
• Switch to the USB charging function (see item 2) and then connect your USB device
to the USB port (B).
After recharging is complete, deactivate the USB mode so as not to waste power
in the rechargeable batteries.
Notes:
This device does not have an individual slot monitor. For this reason, you should always
charge two batteries of the same capacity in each double slot to avoid differing charge
states in the batteries when charging is completed. Never charge AA and AAA rechargeable
batteries together. Use only NiCd/NiMH rechargeable batteries. Never insert conventional
batteries. Observe the enclosed safety and disposal instructions.
