Selecting the type of network component:
In order to make your network card ready for DSL, the PPPoE
network protocol must be installed.
Select
Protocol
and then click
“Add”.
Selecting the network protocol:
Windows 2000 does not contain a protocol for DSL by default.
Click the
“Have Disk...”
button to add the RASPPPoE protocol
that you downloaded earlier.
Specifying the target folder/fi le:
Select the folder where you extracted the *.zip fi le that you
downloaded at the beginning.
Click
Open
. Windows automatically selects the correct fi le
(RASPPPOE.INF)
.
Selecting the network protocol:
Select the
PPP over Ethernet Protocol
and click
“OK”.
Confi rming the digital signature:
Windows 2000 uses a digital signature for drivers, protocols and
various other software.
As this protocol does not have a digital signature, the following
message is displayed. Click
“Yes”
to continue.
After you install the
PPP over Ethernet Protocol,
restart your
computer.
Running the fi le:
After you restart your computer, go to the folder where you
previously extracted downloaded fi le RASPPPoE.inf.
Run
RASPPPoE.exe
.
