4. Installation
Warning - installation with adhesive
• All parts are suitable only for use indoors. Do
not install outdoors.
• Be aware that the intended mounting surface
must be free from dust and grease. Use a suit-
able cleaner from a specialist retailer for this.
• Be aware that the adhesive pads are intended
to be permanent. Carefully pull the adhesive
pad off the mounting surface to remove it.
• Various environmental influences, such
as moisture in the air, sunlight, cold, etc.,
can impair the long-term stickiness of the
adhesive pads.
• Possible residue on the mounting surface
after removal of the adhesive pads cannot
be ruled out!
The sensor can be in used in battery mode and
via USB.
5. Battery operation
• Turn the cover on the back of the sensor anti-
clockwise to open the battery compartment.
• Remove the spent batteries and dispose of
them if required. Now insert the two CR123A
batteries supplied. Take care to ensure the correct
polarity as shown in the diagrams in the battery
compartment.
• Replace the cover on the back of the sensor and
turn it this time clockwise until it locks into place.
• The LED on the motion detector now flashes
quickly.
• If the LED does not flash quickly, remove the cover
from the back and hold the pairing button for
around 5 seconds.
6. Mains operation
• For operation via USB, connect a micro-USB
cable (not included in the scope of delivery) with
the micro-USB socket and a suitable USB power
supply unit (not included in the scope of delivery).
• Connect the power supply unit to a properly
installed socket. Only operate the product from
a socket that has been approved for the device.
The socket must be installed close to the product
and must be easily accessible. Be aware that,
if using a USB power supply, no batteries must
be inserted.
