
Please read quick guide carefully before installati-
on/commissioning!
Package contains:
• 1x digital/analogue DVB-T PC card
• 1 x software CD-ROM
• 1x multi-connector cable
• 2x aerial adapters
• 1x passive DVB-T aerial
• 1x printed quick guide
System requirements:
• CPU: 1.5GHz or faster
• Main memory: at least 256MB RAM
• Graphics: DirectX 9.0 compatible with
min. 64MB local memory
• Sound: compatible with AC97
• Hard drive: (free space required): min. 1GB
• One free PCMCIA PC card slot
• Microsoft DirectX 9.0b or higher
• Operating system: Windows® XP/2000 with
corresponding Service Packs.
Installing the Hardware:
1. Switch off the laptop
2. Insert the digital/analogue Hama DVB-T PC-Card
carefully into the free PC card slot
3. Ensure that you avoid touching the gold-plated
contacts!
4. Connect the two aerial adapters to the aerial
inputs (DTV, digital and ATV, analogue)
5. The (passive) aerial supplied can be used for
digital and analogue reception
6. Analogue video sources such as video recorders,
for example, can be connected to the S-video
input (located between the aerial inputs) using
the multi-connector cable
7. Restart the notebook
Installing Drivers for Windows® 2000 and XP:
1. Close any background programs which may have
been started (e.g. anti-virus, firewall and system
monitoring programs)
2. Restart the operating system (if the hardware
installation wizard, click Cancel as the drivers are
installed via the setup program)
3. Insert the enclosed driver/software CD
4. The setup now checks the DirectX version
installed on your computer (if the version
installed on the system is older than 9.0b, the
program will recommend that you update it)
5. After checking and updating (if necessary), select
Install drivers in the autostart menu
6. The installation wizard installs the driver (click
Next to get to the next page).
7. Follow the Installation wizard’s instructions.
8. The changed settings are saved automatically
when the computer is restarted.
Installing Software for Windows 2000 and XP:
1. After you restart (driver installation), insert the
driver/software CD-ROM again and select the
Hypermedia option in the autorun menu
2. The Installation wizard is started and the Hyper-
media software is transferred in the meantime.
3. Click Next to continue.
4. The next window allows you to change the preset
save location (click Browse to select the required
location). Click Next.
5. The data required is installed on the system.
6. Follow the Installation wizard’s instructions
7. Click Finish to complete the installation of
Hypermedia
