Short Circuit Protection
The TRACER is equipped with short circuit protection to ensure
your battery is not damaged by faulty tanks. Should a short
circuit occur before the TRACER is in use, the firing button’s
backlight will flash five times, then power off. Should the short
circuit occur while the unit is in use, the firing button’s backlight
will flash three times before resetting. Replace the tank’s coil
head, and your TRACER battery will perform again as intended.
Important Note:
The TRACER battery is designed to work with coil heads having
a resistance of .3 ohms or above. Using coil heads below
.3 ohms will create a potentially unsafe situation.
Automatic Cutoff
If the firing button is pressed for more than 15 seconds at a time,
the TRACER battery will automatically cut off power to the tank
and the backlight will flash ten times. This cut off time protects
against potential safety hazards should the firing button be
accidentally pressed for an extended period.
Low Voltage Protection
If the available voltage of your TRACER battery drops below
3.3 volts, the firing button’s backlight will flash four times and
the device will power off. Once the battery is recharged and
is capable of producing more than 3.65 volts, the battery will
perform again as intended.
