7.   SAFETY  EQUIPMENT

Hose rupture valve

The hydraulic device is fitted with a hose rupture valve that restricts the lowering action in
the event of a hose or pipe rupture.

“Dead man's handle”

The lifting trolley has a control unit with “Dead man's handle”. I.e. the lifting and lowering
movements are immediately interrupted if the control lever is released.

8.   APPLICATION

In order to utilise the qualities of the lifting trolley to the greatest effect and to prevent
injury, it is vital that you read through these instructions carefully and that you use the
trolley in the correct way.

Mechanical construction

The REFLEX 200 Lifting Trolley consists of a mast with accompanying chassis and battery
unit with external charger. Lift is achieved through a battery driven hydraulic pump that
transfers the lift force to the lifting device via a hydraulic piston and lifting chain.
The driving handle is designed for a range of grips.
Maintenance-free batteries 24 V DC, and charger for connection to single phase, 230 V,
50 Hz power point are included.

See Section 6, “Safe use”, with respect to safe conditions and risks
when handling the machine and its load!

8.1 Transport

The lifting trolley is fitted with four easy-turning wheels of which two revolve and have
brakes. When the lifting trolley is not being used for moving, the brakes on the two wheels
that have brakes must always be applied. The load bed must always be in its lowest
position when transporting goods with the lifting trolley.

Never transport goods when the load bed is in raised position.

8.2  Operating the load bed

Manoeuvre the platform Up and Down using the control unit.

Remember to always have full supervision of the machine and all parts of the load
when manoeuvring.

8.3  What to do when you have finished using the lifting trolley

The lifting trolley may be left in raised position following completed work task, providing
this does not cause any undue inconvenience or risks.

We recommend that the load bed is lowered as a rule to bottom position following
completed work task.
