Managing the Encoder
Configuring Audio Encoders

Select or enter the new value(s) in the appropriate field(s). See “Audio Encoder
Settings” on page 99.

To start or stop the encoder, click
Start
or
Stop
(as applicable).

To mute the audio (when active), click
Mute
.
NOTE
When an audio encoder is muted, it still generates audio data, but the audio
content is silence. For more information, see Mute on page 100 .

To view statistics for the encoder, click
Statistics
. For details, see “Audio Encoder
Statistics” on page 101.
6.
To apply your changes, click
Apply
.
The changes will take effect immediately but will not be saved and will be lost after a
reboot
.

To save the current configuration, open the

DMINISTRATION
> P
RESETS
page. See
“Saving and Loading Presets” on page 178.

To return to List View, click

The following table lists the Audio Encoder controls and settings:

NOTE:
The SDI2 audio inputs are only
available on dual-channel systems.
TIP:
For Analog audio, on dual input SDI
encoders, you may need to specify the video
input from which to derive the audio encoder's
STC source (either Auto, BNC1, or BNC2).
This is done using the CLI. For details, see
“stcif” on page 261.
