5. Safety instructions
Single ladders with steps must
be used so that the steps are in a
horizontal position.
Ladders used for access to a higher
level shall be extended at least
1 m above the landing point and
secured, if necessary.
Only use the ladder in the direction
indicated.
Do not lean the ladder against
unsuitable surfaces.
Ladder shall never be moved from the top.
Locking mechanisms for all extend-
ed rungs/steps must be inspected
and locked before use.
ALWAYS ensure that the locking
guide below each extended section
is „completely filled in GREEN“
before using the ladder and make
sure that all relevant locking pins
are correctly engaged.
When using the ladder, do not touch
or manipulate the locking mecha-
nism UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Do not put hands/fingers in the
step area (shearing area) when the
ladder is brought to its intended
position of use.
Do not stand on the last metre of a
telescopic ladder.
Do not climb over the fourth fully
accessible step from the top end.
ALWAYS position the ladder against
the wall impact support and under
no circumstances using the rails
or steps, which could thereby be
damaged.
ALWAYS stand in front of the ladder and set up the
ladder forwards. Do not ascend the ladder UNDER
ANY CIRCUMSTANCES from the back side.
Do not use the ladder UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
in dirty or dusty environments. The penetration of
‘foreign matter’ can make extending and collaps-
ing the ladder difficult.
Do not immerse the ladder under water UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES since it will thereby be dam-
aged and extending and collapsing it will be made
difficult.
Do not collapse/shorten the ladder only partially
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
ALWAYS push back all steps and completely col-
lapse the ladder before again extending it to the
desired length.
Do not open / extend the ladder
from a middle or upper step. This
could lead to the locking bolts not
completely engaging, which can
lead to injuries.
