Important Safeguards
Warning!
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to
persons, including the following:
1. Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other use not recommended may
cause fire, electric shock or injury.
2. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for outside,
commercial, industrial use.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. NEVER insert fingers, pencils or any other objects through the grille when fan is
running.
5. Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
6. UNPLUG fan when moving from one location to another.
7. UNPLUG fan before cleaning.
8. Be sure fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid chance of
overturning.
9. To protect against electrical shock, DO NOT place fan in a window, immerse
unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids.
10. DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. DO NOT hang or mount fan on a wall or ceiling.
12. DO NOT operate fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
13. DO NOT place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other
heating appliance.
14. DO NOT operate the fan with a damaged cord, plug, after a malfunction or if
dropped or damaged in any manner.
15. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. THIS IS A SAFETY FEATURE. NEVER connect the fan to any
power source other than a 120-volt alternating current polarized outlet. If you
are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
16. Always use on a dry level surface.
17. WARNING : To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT USE THIS
FAN with any SOLID-STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE.

: This fan is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (one
blade is wider than the other). This plug fits into the power outlet only
one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug
fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still fails to fit,
contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized plug.
