5. MESSAGES
This Section introduces the message service provided by CDMA 1X.
If your network carrier provides a message service, you can send or
receive messages. These messages can comprise 160 characters. You
can reply or send new messages with your network carrier’s support.
5.1 Creating a new message
Choose the “Create” option in message menu or pressing under the
standby screen enters the message editing window.
Editing messages is done in a text editing interface. Please refer to
Section 1.7.
During editing, press to perform operations such as send, save to
draft, insert number, etc.
z Send: sends the message you have edited. In the input number
window, you can input the receiver’s phone number or pick up a
number in the phone book to insert by pressing . You can send a
message to a maximum of five persons.

Save to draft: the message edited will be saved to drafts.
z
Insert number: adds the number from the phone book into the
message.
