7. Press <*>. The shroud assembly will start oscillating, the display will first
read "weighing" for a short time, then the display will show a "
calvalue "
number. This number represents the maximum weight value allowed
within the linear range. The shroud assembly will automatically stop os-
cillating, and the "calvalue" number will be replaced by the word "Cali-
brat."
8. If the display reads "FAILURE", record the number listed before the word
failure, reference
“Troubleshooting” on page 3-7 .
9. Press <#> to return to "ready" mode and remove the certified calibration
weight from the bag tray.
Note: The calibration weight has been calibrated at Haemonetics. Haemonetics
recommends verification of the weight annually using a calibrated digital scale
that can be traced to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T.).
A log of verification should be kept. The weight should be 585 grams ± 0.4 grams.
If the weight is outside this tolerance, return it to Haemonetics for calibration.
Warning: Do not apply any labels to the calibration weight; it will alter the total
weight.
