Precautionary Labels
Read all labels and tags attached to the instrument. Personal injury or damage to the instrument
could occur if not observed. A symbol on the instrument is referenced in the manual with a
precautionary statement.
The TitraStir Titration Stand is an optional accessory for Hach’s Digital Titrator system. It is a
single-speed magnetic stirrer with a specially designed holder for the titrator, the temperature
probe, and electrodes in applications where they are used. The titration flask is placed on a
white disc to provide better color definition when looking for an end point color change. In the
table below, pertinent electrical and physical characteristics are given.
Assembly
shows the assembly of the titration stand. The Digital Titrator and titrator cartridge are
not part of the TitraStir stand but are shown to demonstrate how they are installed. There is a
slot in the side of the Titrator/Electrode holder to accommodate the delivery tube. A ½-inch
wrench can be used to moderately tighten the support rod assembly in the titration stand.
Set up the TitraStir so that the power cord can be easily disconnected. A protective earth ground
is required.
The following accessory items are included with the TitraStir Stand. Please verify that all the
items are present when unpacking the shipping carton.
Electrical equipment marked with this symbol may not be disposed of in European public disposal systems after
12 August of 2005. In conformity with European local and national regulations (EU Directive 2002/96/EC),
European electrical equipment users must now return old or end-of life equipment to the Producer for disposal at no
charge to the user.
Note:
For return for recycling, please contact the equipment producer or supplier for instructions on how to return
end-of-life equipment, producer-supplied electrical accessories, and all auxiliary items for proper disposal.
