Drive numbering

The server provides drive number (drive slot number) marks on both the front and rear panels to help
identify drives, as shown in

physical drive numbers and drive numbers in software (HDM or the BIOS), see "Appendix C Drive
Slot Number Mapping Relationships."

Drive LEDs

The server supports SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives, of which SAS and SATA drives support hot
swapping and NVMe drives support hot insertion and managed hot removal. You can use the LEDs
on a drive to identify its status after it is connected to a storage controller.
