MAINTENANCE AND CARE
WARNING:
Always unplug vacuum hose and wand before servicing and maintaining
the Prestige Pro powerhead. Failure to do so could result in electrical
shock or personal injury if unit suddenly starts. Always follow all safety
precautions specified when caring for your Prestige Pro.
Brush Cleaning
Check the brush roller and brush support areas frequently in order to
maintain optimum efficiency. If hair, string, thread, carpet fiber or lint become
wound around the brush roller, remove by unwinding them by hand or
carefully cutting with scissors. If build up becomes excessive, disconnect the
Prestige Pro powerhead from the wand assembly and follow the brush roller
removal steps below.
Removing the Brush Roller
Depending on usage and flooring type, the
brush roller will become worn and will
need to be replaced over time.
To Remove the Brush Roller
1. Turn the powerhead over and take
off the metal bottom plate by first
unscrewing the two screws located by
the rear wheels.
2. Remove the belt cover guard and pull
the brush roller out.
To Re-install the Brush Roller
1. Re-insert the brush roller back into
the powerhead, making sure the belt is
attached properly.
2. Insert the belt cover guard.
3. Place the metal bottom plate back onto
the powerhead by inserting the front end
of the bottom plate first.
4. Re-insert the two bottom plate screws and secure.
