Operation

 -

When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a piece of

damp cloth, dry cloth or tissue. Then smear the plates with butter, margarine

or cooking fat.

 -

Plug the power cord into the power outlet and turn ON. The power “ON” light (Red)

and the “preheat” light (orange) will illuminate.

 -

Close the sandwich maker and prepare sandwich while appliance is heating.

 -

When the sandwich maker is ready after about 3 minutes the temperature indicator

light (green) will be on.

 -

Carefully lift the hinged top plate and place the sandwich onto the bottom plate

towards the rear of the product.

 -

Place a slice of bread in the top half with the buttered side up and carefully close

the two parts of the toaster together. Do not force shut. Steam will be ejected from

the opening between the plates while making sandwiches. Care must be taken to

ensure your fingers do not come into contact with hot surfaces and steam.

 -

Lock the two halves with the wire clip while toasting is taking place.

NOTE: During toasting the temperature indicator light will cycle on and off while

the thermostat keeps the appliance at the right temperature. Cook only with metal

plate closed.

 -

Your sandwich will be toasted in 2–3 minutes depending on the type and thickness

of the bread, the fillings used and the taste you desire.

 -

Carefully lift the top plate and remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden

spatula. Never use metal utensils as this may damage the non-stick coating.
