Troubleshooting
If you experience a problem with your appliance, please check the following table for
solutions. If after these checks you are unable to solve the issue with your appliance,
contact GVA customer care for advice.
Problem Solution
Appliance does not start. • Check if plugged in and connected to power.
• Check if the voltage is low.
• Check if there is power failure or tripped circuit.
Odour. Check if there is rotten food or dirty interior.
Long operation of
compressor.
• It is normal for refrigerators to operate a longer
time in Summer when the ambient temperature is
higher.
• Do not put too much food in the unit at one time.
• Allow food to cool down before placing it in the
unit.
• Do not open the refrigerator door frequently.
Light does not illuminate. • Check if the refrigerator is connected to power.
• Check if the light is damaged.
The refrigerator door
cannot be properly closed.
• Check if there are any food packages blocking the
door.
• Check if the unit is tilted.
Loud noise. Check whether the refrigerator is levelled and
balanced, and whether the parts are properly placed.
