higher wattage can lead to the gel heat pad overheating and
this could cause damage! Do not leave the gel heat pad unat-
tended while heating it in the microwave! If the gel heat pad
starts swelling, stop the heating immediately! Then let it cool
down, check it for leaks and choose a shorter heating time! Be
careful when removing the gel heat pad from the microwave!
Overheating can damage it and lead to burns to the skin. Poin-
ted or sharp objects can damage the film. You must not conti-
nue to use leaking/damaged gel heat pads! Check the product
before each use! Dispose of it immediately at the first signs of
damage! In order to avoid burns to the skin, you must check
that the gel heat pad is not damaged and test the temperature
carefully on the forearm! If the gel heat pad is too hot, let it cool
down slightly! In order to avoid any burns and irritations of the
skin, only place the heated gel pad with the velour side directly
onto the skin or alternatively use a cover!
Stop using the gel heat pad as soon as the gel filling is lower
than the indicator line (see Directions for Service Life and Sto-
rage!). The gel heat pad has been designed only for heat treat-
ment and must not be cooled or stored in the fridge or freezer!
The gel heat pad must not be used by those whose sense of
hot and cold has not yet developed fully or is impaired (hel-
pless/disabled people, those who are insensitive to heat and/or
cold)! Stop the treatment if the heat feels unpleasant! The use
of heat should be avoided with acute inflammatory or feverish
illnesses, eczema, heart and venous diseases, tumours, can-
