Mains operation (with mains adapter)

Notes: 

Check if the mains voltage on the mains adapter type plate corresponds
to your local mains supply.
The only way to disconnect the device from the mains supply is to
unplug the adapter. Only unplug the mains adapter from the socket
when you are not using the device.

Using rechargeable nickel metal hydride 
batteries

When using the rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries supplied 
(Ni-MH, 2 x 1.2 V, size: LH-P1350 F6L/1350 mAh) only use the mains
adapter supplied as a charging device.

Open the lid of the battery compartment under the CD lid.

Insert the rechargeable batteries, observing the polarity marked in the
battery compartment.

Notes: 

Completely charge up the batteries before you first use them or if you
have not used them for a long time.

The charging time is approximately 14 hours when the device is
stopped. Using the device while the batteries are charging increases the
charging time. 

The ambient temperature should be between 5°C and 40°C.

If you have disconnected the mains adapter from the mains, playback
using the rechargeable batteries is only possible if you pull the adapter
cable out of the »
