Connecting the Stenorette digital Sd 4240 to the
analog desktop machine and PC
You can find the connection diagram on the inside of the unit’s cover.

Remove the cover
or the Dt 3111
before connecting (simply pull up
and out).

Connect the headset to the »HEADPHONES« jack.

Connect the foot control to the »FOOT CONTROL« jack.

Connect the PC connection cable to the »PC/COM« jack, and
establish the connection to the PC (COM and Line Out, optional
Mic/Line In*).

Connect the USB cable to the »PC/USB« jack.

Connect the analog desktop machine to the permanent connection
cable of the Stenorette digital Sd 4240.

Connect optional active loudspeakers (3.5-mm jack plug) to the

To connect the power supply 683 GB with the machine: push
the connector (telephone type jack) into the socket at the back
of the machine marked »ac 9V-10V~«.
Notes:
A Grundig headset and Grundig foot control must be connected
for full functionality.

Establishing sufficient mass-potential equalization may require that you also
connect the red plug of the PC connection cable to the audio interface
(Mic/Line In).

If you do not connect a USB cable, it can infrequently occur that the output
voltage of the serial interface is not sufficient for proper operation of the
Stenorette digital Sd 4240.

If desired, place the analog Grundig desktop machine onto the
Stenorette digital Sd 4240 (without cover).
