Place a hand towel around 
the neck and shoulders of the
person whose hair is to be cut.
Seat the person so that their
head is roughly at your eye
level. Before cutting, 
comb the hair so that it falls
loosely and you can see 
the natural growth direction.

Switch on the appliance 
with switch

The comb attachment is
automatically locked when 
the appliance is switched on. 
It can then not be adjusted 
during use. This function protects
against accidental change 
in cutting length during use.

After use, switch off the
appliance with switch

To remove the comb 
attachment, set the telescopic
comb adjustment switch 
to position 7 first. Then carefully
pull the comb attachment 
out of the side guide grooves.
Avoid contact with the blade.

Note

If the appliance is blocked 
by thick hair during use, 
switch it off. If using it in mains
mode, unplug the mains adapter
at the socket. Remove the comb
attachment and clean the blade
with the supplied brush. 
If the cutting blades move slowly
or not at all, clean the appliance
as described in the following
chapter.
