To protect the radio from battery leakage, never leave dead, weak or old

batteries in the radio. If you do not plan to use the radio for a month or more,
remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy
electronics parts.

Always dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.

Note:

When the radio does not operate properly or the sound weakens or distorts,

replace the batteries.

Important:

This radio can use Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. At the end of a

nickel-metal hydride battery’s useful life, it must be recycled or disposed of
properly. Contact your local hazardous waste management authorities for
information on recycling or disposal programs in your area.

Using an external AC/DC adaptor

1. Plug the input plug of the adaptor into proper AC or DC outlet.
2. Connect the output plug into the radio’s DC 6V jack.

Note:

the power output of the adaptor must supplies 6V DC and delivers at least

300mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit your radio’s 6V
DC jack. Using an adaptor that does not meet these specifications could damage
your radio or adaptor.

Using Dynamo Power

The radio has an internal rechargeable battery pack that
can be recharged by the dynamo-crank. The
rechargeable battery pack is located inside the battery
compartment, insert the plug of the battery pack into the
connector before use.

1. Switch
