8. Installation
8.1 Transport and storage
8.2 Unpacking
• Check scope of delivery.
• Install as soon as possible after unpacking.
8.3 Installation requirements
• The location must be vibration-free, dry, dust-free and free of
corrosive, pungent fumes or aggressive solvents.
• For safety reasons, the customer should install an earth
leakage circuit breaker for the measuring amplifier
Conex
®
DIA and the motor of the measuring cell.
• Maximum permissible cable length between measuring cell
and measuring amplifier: 3 metres.
• Ensure a continuous supply of sample water.
• Retain the permissible inlet pressure and counter-pressure of
the sample water.
– Fit a pressure booster pump or pressure reducer, if
necessary.
8.4 Mounting
The flow armature is fastened onto the mounting plate from
factory.
1. Drill four dowel holes with a diameter of 10 mm and minimum
60 mm deep. See section
6.2 Dimensional sketch / drilling
.
2. Mount the mounting plate on the wall using the mounting
material provided. Distance between the mounting plate and
the wall: minimum 20 mm.

9. Commissioning
9.1 Water connections
• Connect the sample water inlet and sample water outlet.

9.2 Installation of electrodes
On top of the electrodes, coloured markings are provided for
easier assignment:
• potentiostatic electrode: green
• pH single-rod electrode: white
• redox electrode: brown.
Caution
Transport the device carefully, do not drop!
Store in dry conditions b5 °C and +40 °C.
Store the electrodes between -5 °C and +30 °C.
Keep protective caps moist with 3-molar potassium
chloride solution.
Caution
Do not allow any foreign bodies to enter!
Caution
If you do not observe the installation requirements,
the device may be damaged!
The measurements may not be correct!
Caution
The measuring cell breaks when the screws are
tightened! Do not tighten the screws; only screw
them in without tightening them!
Caution
The potentiostatic measuring cell or preassembled
system must be mounted vertically!
Caution
Do not pinch the cable! Always observe the
wall-mounting guide below.

Warning
Switch off the power supply before installing.
Warning
The buffer solution must not come into contact with
the eyes or skin. Wear protective gloves and glasses
when performing
the following steps!
Note
The housing of the measuring cell must not come
into contact with the buffer solution. There is a risk of
corrosion and cloudiness.
Caution
To prevent a siphon effect, the sample water outlet
must flow freely downwards without
counter-pressure!
