PREFLIGHT INSPECTION
1.
Cockpit
Control Locks – REMOVED and STOW.
Parking Brake – SET.
Landing Gear Handle – DOWN.
All Switches – OFF.
Cowl Flaps – OPEN.
Trim Tab Controls (3) – NEUTRAL.
Fuel Selectors (2) – ON.
Magneto Switches – OFF.
Master Switch – ON.
Alternator Warning Lights – ON.
Landing Gear Position Light – 3 Green/ON.
Landing Gear In Transit Light – CHECK.
Strobe Lights – CHECK, then OFF.
Fuel Gauges – CHECK.
Master Switch – OFF.
Windshield and Windows – CHECK.
All necessary maps, charts, and Spare Fuses – ABOARD.

Right Fuselage
Baggage Door – SECURE.
Static Port – CHECK/Unobstructed.
Fuselage – CHECK/Condition.
3.
Empennage
Control Surfaces – CHECK/Freedom of Movement.
Trim Tabs – NEUTRAL.
Tailcone – CHECK.
Tie Down – REMOVE.
Lights – CHECK.
4.
Left Fuselage
Static Port – CHECK/Unobstructed.
Fuselage – CHECK/Condition.
5.
Left Wing
Flap – CHECK.
Aileron – CHECK.
Wing Tip/Light – CHECK.
Tie Down – REMOVE.
Fuel Tank Vent – CLEAR.
Fuel – CHECK/Cap Secure.
Bottom of Wing – Inspection covers secure and check for fuel stains.
Chocks – REMOVE.
Fuel Tank Drain – CHECK.
Main Landing Gear and Wheel Well – CHECK.
Brake Linings – CHECK/Condition.
Heater Fresh Air Scoop – CHECK/Unobstructed.
