Hook & Loop Fastener Installation

Gather parts:
•  FA4110 hook fastener strip
•  FA4115 loop fastener strip
•  101616 clear super tape

Attach hook & loop fasteners to help secure cover when it is closed. Install in areas noted below.

Use these basic steps to apply hook & loop fastening material:
1.  Fully open cover on both sides of frame and lock in position.
2.  Use end rafter diagram above and all diagrams

on next page

 to

determine fastener locations.

3.  Depending on fastener location, clean rafter (or end panel). Attach a

6" section of hook (FA4110) in a location (A - D).

4.  Attach 6" section of loop (FA4115) to hook attached in previous step.

Adhesive side loop section with protective film should face up.

5.  Verify loop section is square on hook material and remove protective

film to expose adhesive on loop.

6.  Take an 8" piece of 101616 tape and attach the

non-adhesive side

of the tape

 to loop adhesive.

7.  Repeat Steps 3-6 to apply hook & hoop fastener in

all remaining

locations on frame

.

8.  Beginning with one side, roll cover down to stabilizer bar and lock

cover into place.

9.  Verify cover is positioned as desired on frame.

HOOK & LOOP LOCATION GUIDE–END RAFTERS

•

Position A: Approx. 12" from rafter splice.

•

Positon B: Approx. 36" from top, center of rafter.

•

Positions C & D: Evenly spaced between A & B.

10. Move to one end rafter, carefully lift cover at a hook & loop fastener, and

remove protective strip to expose adhesive surface on tape.

11.  Press cover down so adhesive sticks to underside of cover. Work all air

bubbles from between tape and cover.

12. Repeat steps to attach all remaining hook & loop fasteners to the

underside of cover.

13. Repeat Steps 8-12 for remaining side of frame.
14. Finally, carefully roll one cover up to first set of hook & loop fasteners

and press on tape to ensure all mid rafter fasteners are tight to cover.

15. Repeat previous step for all remaining mid rafter fasteners on each side

of frame then test by opening and closing covers a few times.

Clear tape sticks to cover.

Loop fastener sticks to tape.

Hook fastener sticks to rafter.
