OPERATIONS

Installing Bits
The Model H8212 uses bits and cutters
with a
1
/
8
" diameter shaft. See the Grizzly
catalog or
www.grizzly.com
for a complete
listing of available bits and accessories.
DO NOT use bits or cutters with
a cutting diameter larger than 1".
The bit or cutter could break apart
under the stresses of high speed use
causing serious personal injury.
To install a bit:
1.
DISCONNECT THE GRINDER FROM
THE AIR SUPPLY!
2.
Use the two included wrenches
to loos-
en the collet nut, as shown in
Figure
2
.
Note:
It is not necessary to completely
remove the collet nut from the shaft
unless you are replacing the collet.
3.
Insert at least
1
⁄
2
" of the bit into the
collet.
4.
Use the collet wrenches to tighten the
collet nut. Verify that the tooling bit is
secure and will not pull out.

Like all tools there is potential danger
when operating this tool. Accidents
are frequently caused by lack of
familiarity or failure to pay attention.
If normal safety precautions are
overlooked or ignored, serious
personal injury may occur.
Only use bits rated for 65,000 RPM
or higher. Bits rated lower than this
may fly apart during operation and
cause injury.
