H2867 Electric Shear

Operation

If you are cutting a large dimension of

sheet metal, use a large flat working sur-

face such as a workbench to support the

work as shown in 

Figure 3

. Once the cut

lines have been determined, turn the

shears ON and begin the cut.

If you need to trim small pieces of sheet

metal, use the shear in a stationary posi-

tion while pulling the metal through the

shears, towards your body as shown in

Figure 4

.  Avoid letting your fingers get to

close to the moving jaws.

If everything is in proper adjustment and

working order, there should be a spiral trail

of sheet metal exiting the shear as you

make your cut.
