There are four settings for orbital action of

the blade, controlled by a lever switch. The

effect of the settings is shown in 

Figure 5

below. When set on Position III the blade

oscillates forward in the stroke, which is

helpful when cutting wood or soft materi-

als. The Position 0 setting eliminates all

forward oscillation and the blade strokes

ORBITAL ACTION

straight up and down. This is good for

materials with a strong cutting resistance

such as metals and where a very clean cut

edge is desired. 

Changes in the orbital movement can be

made with the motor turned on.
