OPERATION
OPERATION
Before beginning, make sure the car
and work area are clean and dry. If nec-
essary, remove tar, bug stains, grease,
etc. with general cleaner before polish-
ing.
1.
Place the blue wax applicator bonnet
on the pad. Make sure the elastic is
tucked down securely and evenly
around the underside of the pad.
2.
-PASTE WAX-
DO NOT APPLY WAX DIRECTLY TO
CAR.
Spread a heaping teaspoon of
wax evenly over the entire surface of
the blue wax applicator bonnet. A putty
knife or other flat object is recom-
mended to spread the wax on the
applicator bonnet.
-LIQUID WAX-
DO NOT APPLY WAX DIRECTLY TO
CAR.
Apply three swirls of liquid wax
on the blue wax applicator bonnet.
This first application should do about a
quarter of the car. For the second and
third applications of wax, use half of
the quantity stated above. The bonnet
will not absorb as much of the wax
after the first application.
3.
ALWAYS START AND STOP THE
POLISHER ON OR AGAINST THE
CAR SURFACE.
Place the extension
cord over your shoulder and do flat
surfaces first, such as the hood, trunk
and roof. Cover areas quickly with
broad, sweeping strokes in a criss-
cross pattern. DO NOT press down on
the polisher. The machine’s action, not
pressure, will produce the best results.
4.
After the flat surfaces have been
applied with wax, apply the wax to the
sides of the car. Hold the polisher with
one hand on the handle and one on
the hand hold and let the cord hang
free. It is not necessary to use a criss-
cross motion on the doors and fend-
ers.
5.
Remove the blue wax applicator bon-
net from the machine and use it to
hand polish all hard-to-reach sur-
faces, such as around the door han-
dles, under the bumpers, etc.
6.
Throw away the blue wax applicator
bonnet and put a clean terrycloth bon-
net on the polisher.
7
.
Polish the the wax in the same order it
was applied. Use long, sweeping
strokes in a criss-cross pattern. DO
NOT press hard; let the polisher do the
work for you.
