6.4 Connection to DMX lines
The unit is fitted with pins for the connection of the cables, as shown in the following pictures.
The connection of the cable to the unit must be performed respecting the label next to the terminal box of the
splitter.
6.5 Powering up the unit
After performing all the actions described in the previous paragraphs, it is possible to proceed and power up the
unit. In case of DMX signal connected, the LED will be steady on, while in the absence of DMX signal the LED will
be off.
7.1 Product description
IP65 4 way DMX RDM splitter is a 4 way DMX splitter, features one DMX/RDM input/THRU and 4 DMX/RDM outputs.
This unit takes the incoming DMX signal and splits the signl into 4 separate output channels. Each output channel
and the input channel are completely electronically isolated from each other, all channels have independent
line drivers to boost the DMX signal.
In addition, the timing of outputs are regenereated in digital mode by a 32 bits ARM processor.
The RDM return messages are in turn amplified and redistributed on the other outputs and they are redistributed
on other splitters connected through the THRU terminal box, crossing up to a maximum of 3 different splitter.
An LED indicates the presence of the signal.
Attention!
The RDM return messages are redistributed on other splitters connected through the input,
crossing up to a maximum of 3 different splitter.
7.0 Use of the unit
Warning!
All data wires must be isolated one from another, from the shield and from the metal housing of the connectors.
Pin number 1 of the housing is not to be connected to the electric ground of the unit.
Insert a terminal plug with a 120 Ω resistor connected to pins 2 and 3 in the last unit.
