lights up to show that the appliance is heating up .

process . This is not a malfunction of the appliance! It merely indicates
that the appliance is maintaining the temperature .

The thermostat only operates from the beginning of the temperature
setting scale . Depending on the room temperature, heating up will start
at different positions on the scale .

When the appliance is heated up for the first time, the protective layer
on the heating element

burns off . You may notice a small amount
of smoke and a slight smell . This is normal and dissipates after a short
time . Ensure that there is adequate ventilation . For example, open a
window .
The appliance is now ready for use .

as aluminium foil, aluminium trays, plates or the like on the cooking grill
