Engine, identification

Type plates

Type plate for the diesel engine
The machine’s chassis number (engine type and number
are normally connected to the chassis number) must be
stated when ordering spare parts.
If the engine's type plate is not legible, the engine's serial
number can also be read from the engine block on top of
the lubricating oil cooler housing.
The injection pump's type plate is attached to the pump
and shows the following information:
• Pump serial number
• Cummins part number
• Factory code
• Bosch part number
• Date code

The cylinders are numbered in sequence from the engine
end where the cooling fan and the drive belts are mounted.
Cylinder no. 1 is therefore located closest to the fan,
cylinder no. 4 is located closest to the flywheel.
