INSTALLATION

WINDOW REQUIREMENTS

1.

These instructions and installation parts are for a 
standard double-hung window. It can be installed 
with our without the expandable panels. Make sure the 
opening is large enough for the size of unit 

(figure A)

.

2.

The unit must be installed within 122 cm (48”) of a wall 
grounded outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

3.

All supporting parts must be fixed to solid wood, 
masonry or metal.

4.

Clear out the area where the unit is installed ; air inlets 
and outlets must be free at all times.

N.B. :

For storm window, to make sure the unit will drain properly, attach a piece of wood 

to the stool in order to allow the air conditioner to tilt toward outside. 

Size of the window piece :
Width

- 2.5 cm (2”). 

Length

- long enough to fit inside the window frame. 

Thickness

- place a piece of wood on the stool to make it 1.3 cm (1/2”) higher than the

top of the storm window frame.

IX THE EXPANDABLE PANELS ON THE AIR CONDITIONER

BEFORE PLACING THE UNIT IN THE WINDOW

1.

Using 2 Phillips screws, install the top mounting 
rail on the top of the unit casing 

(figure B).

2.

Slide the left and right expandable panels into 
the top and bottom mounting rails*

(figure C).

3.

Using 2 Phillips screws and screwing through 
the holes on the panel edge, fix the expandable 
panels onto each side of the unit 

(

figure D).
