To adjust wing level:
1. Make sure the outer wing lock pin is removed from
the hole
.
2. Loosen the jam nut
on the outer end of the stop
bolt. Insert a wrench through the slot
and turn the
head of the stop bolt until the adjustment is correct.
Hold the stop bolt and tighten the jam nut.
If a wing is adjusted, make sure the gauge wheels are
adjusted correctly. See “
3. Check the length of the adjustable top link. Measure
the distance from the center of the inner pivot pin to the
center of the outer pivot pin.
On 15”, 20”, 22”, 30” TR30” and 70cm models the
distance must be 75 1/2 inches.
On 36”, TR36”, 38”, TR38”, 40”, and TR40” models the
distance must be 73 1/2 inches.
On models without the wing flex option, a slight
adjustment on the top link may be required to hold the
wing frames level in the planting position
Front-to-Back Leveling
For the rows to run level at the designed down-force, the
tool bar must be level with the ground at the desired tool
height. Perform this adjustment on level ground in field
conditions.
3-point planters
1. Adjust the row unit components (summary on
page 62) for desired running depth and down-force.
2. Lower the planter and adjust the gauge wheels so
the toolbar is 26 inches above the planting
surface.
3. For a full 3-point planter, adjust the tractor upper
link until the top of the tool bar is level.
