Protecting Fan Hydraulic Motor Seals
Install the hydraulic hoses for the fan motor to the tractor
in the following order:
1. Always connect the sump return hoses first and
disconnect this hose last. The sump return hose has
a large 1.06 inch (2.7 cm) diameter quick coupler. A
female quick disconnect is supplied with the
planter. If necessary, install the female quick
disconnect fitting to a low pressure sump return port
on the tractor. Do not connect the sump return hose
to the power-beyond port. The sump return also
dumps oil from the wing flex cylinders and must be
connected before any fold circuit hoses are
connected.
2. Next, connect the case drain hose
from the fan
motor to the case drain port on the tractor. The case
drain coupler is the small flat faced connector Do not
connect the case drain hose to the power beyond
port
3. Connect the pressure hose for the fan to a tractor
remote port.
4. Connect fold hoses to suitable tractor remote valves.
On models without lift assist that have the wing flex
option, the fold circuit must be capable of continuous
flow.
5. Connect the lift assist hoses to a tractor remote port.
6. If equipped with hydraulic drive row units, connect
the hydraulic drive hose to a tractor remote port
capable of continuous operation.
Electrical Hookup
Connect the planter electrical lead to tractor seven-pin
connector. If your tractor is not equipped with an ASAE
J560b seven-pin connector, contact your dealer for
installation.
Plug in any optional connectors or aftermarket
connectors, such as an planter-mounted GPS receiver.
For future reference, note the connectors on this
checklist.

harness also supplies power to the wing flex option.
