ter. If the rudder deflects in the wrong direction relative to the stick movement, you need to reverse it by
moving the servo reverse switch for the steering channel (ST.) to the other position; you will find this on
the MULTI LED DISPLAY.
•
Check that the propeller is firmly seated on the shaft, otherwise it could fall off when the boat is revers-
ing.
•
When everything is working properly, you are ready for the boat’s maiden run.
Maiden run
Use the boat’s first run to become accustomed to its handling characteristics. Check the steering response in
particular, together with the braking distance and the effective radio range.
If the model’s bow rises too far out of the water at high speed, re-position the drive batteries further forward
on the Velcro tape.
Never run the boat at high speed in reverse, otherwise it will be difficult to control, and water may come over
the deck or into the hull.
Check before every run
that the drive batteries and superstructure are firmly fixed and attached to the
model.
Important:
After every run check for water inside the hull, and remove it immediately.
If the drive batteries become very wet, remove them from the boat and dry them off.
Water inside the heat-shrink sleeve enclosing the battery will cause the cell cases to rust, which will eventu-
ally cause electrolyte loss and / or short-circuits.
Re-greasing the propeller shaft
•
Insert a 2.0 mm A/F allen key into one screw in the motor coupling, and hold it firmly to prevent the shaft
turning.
•
Unscrew the propeller from the shaft.
•
Now undo the socket-head screw at the shaft end, and withdraw the shaft from the stern tube.
•
Clean the shaft and apply a little grease to the inside of the stern tube.
•
Slip the shaft back into the tube.
•
Engage the socket-head screw
on the flat section
of the shaft, and tighten it firmly.
•
Screw the propeller onto the shaft, and tighten it
firmly
; the nut on the shaft acts as a locknut. If the
propeller is not sufficiently tight, it may come adrift when the boat is reversing; in this case it will be im-
possible to manoeuvre the model, and it may be washed away.

Undo the screws in the swivel push-
rod connectors for the rudder, centre
the servo and the rudder, then
tighten the screws again (1.5 mm

Motor rotates in the wrong direction
when the throttle stick is advanced
Swap over the motor connectors
