Section 4 — Menus Overview

 

Profiles Menu

The Profiles menu is used to load User Profile and Suite Profile files from 
specific folders on the Video Processor frame hard disk or Zip disk. Only 
these file formats are supported in this menu. The menu is accessed by 
touching Daily Setups, Profiles (

Figure 103

).

A collection of preference settings is called a profile. Zodiak profiles can be 
used to instantly change all the Suite or User preferences of a Zodiak 
system. This allows operators to quickly customize the behavior of the 
panels and/or to prepare for different shows without having to alter indi-
vidual preference settings. Profiles saved to specific folders 
(Frame:C:\User\profiles, and Zip:D:\profiles) appear as buttons on the 
Profiles menu.

Suite Prefs Menus

A Zodiak suite is a grouping of one or more control surfaces. Systems with 
more than one control surface may be used by more than one operator at 
the same time. Suite Preference controls define how all the control surfaces 
associated with a Zodiak suite behave. The Suite Preference parameters are 
identical for all the current users of the Zodiak system. To access Suite Pref-
