Grandstream HandyTone 386 Adaptor Set-up Guide
1. Introduction
This guide has been created by the Telco Support Team to assist you set-up your Grandstream HandyTone.
2. Instructions
•
Connect one end of your phone cable to your existing telephone and the other end to your White
RJ11 Adaptor.
•
On the back of your Handy Tone Adaptor, plug your White RJ11 Adaptor into the phone socket 1
your network cable into the LAN socket and the power to the DC 5V socket and switch on the unit.
•
Pick up your phone receiver and dial * (Star button) 3 times or press the red flashing button on the
handytone.
•
You will hear an automated message asking you to enter a menu option – dial 01.
•
An automated message will say static IP mode, dialling 9 again will switch between static &
dynamic IP Mode. Select your IP mode. Once selected press * (Star button) once.
•
An automated message will now confirm the current IP address, dial your IP address in full (e.g.
192168000001). Once done this IP address will be confirmed back to you. Once correct dial *.
•
An automated message will now confirm the Subnet mask, enter yours in full (e.g.
255255255000). Once done, the Subnet mask address will be confirmed. Once correct dial *.
•
An automated message will now confirm the Gateway, enter yours in full (e.g. 192168000001).
Once done, the Gateway mask address will be confirmed. Once correct dial *.
•
An automated message will now confirm the DNS Server, enter in full (e.g. 217031128009).
Once done, the DNS Server mask address will be confirmed. Once correct dial *.
•
An automated message will now confirm the TFTP Server. The TFTP address (e.g.
168075215189) should be automatically configured (it is the website for Grandstream automatic
firmware upgrade) and rarely changes. As correct dial *.
•
Replace the handset on the phone and reboot the HandyTone. Remove the power source, replace
and leave for 1 minute.
