Thank you for choosing a terrace heater made by Grand Hall Europe B.V. We are sure that you will be
pleased with your choice. This radiant heater will operate to your complete satisfaction.

In order to use your terrace heater properly and above all safely, it is important that you read through
these instructions carefully in full and that you observe them. Please pay special attention to the safety
rules set out in these instructions. These rules are for the safety of individuals and their surroundings.

Please save these instructions so that you can consult them in the future. We also recommend saving
the packaging, which you can use to store the heater out of season.

Your infrared terrace heater heats not only the air around you, but also all objects within range of the
radiant heater. This means that the infrared radiant heater works effectively and the device is also
suitable for use in the open air.

Infrared radiant heaters from Grandhall offer you the following benefits:
- A high degree of water-resistance, which means they are resistant to rain and splashing water (IP65).
- They can be installed under a roof, on a terrace, under a parasol, against the frontage of a building,
beside a swimming pool, in offices, workshops, etc.
- Grandhall terrace heaters can be connected to a dimmer switch, allowing you to set the heat level as
required.
- The heaters are fitted with a special LOW Glare Coated lamp, which means they emit up to 80% less
red light and no UV radiation. The expected lamp life is 5000 hours.

Safety rules:

When using electrical terrace heaters/infrared radiant heaters, the safety rules must be observed at all
times in order to avoid the risk of fire and physical injury. For this reason, you should read these safety
rules and instructions carefully before installing or using the terrace heater and follow them in practice.

Before use, check whether the voltage shown on the device matches the voltage of the

electrical socket you want to connect the unit to.

Only use the cable supplied to connect your terrace heater to the mains electrical supply. Do

not place the terrace heater in the immediate vicinity of an electrical socket. Use an electrical
socket which is at least 100cm away from the terrace heater.

Make sure the cable of the terrace heater is not hanging over sharp edges, is not hanging on

the terrace heater itself, is not at risk of being caught on moving objects or tripped over, and is
not exposed to hot objects.

Do not place flammable objects such as curtains, furniture, paper, etc. in the immediate

vicinity of the terrace heater; maintain a distance of at least 100cm. Make sure that wind or
another factor cannot bring flammable materials close to the terrace heater. This can lead to
damage from singeing and/or burning. Examples are: curtains, canvas, aluminium/plastic
sheeting, flags, etc.
Under no circumstances should you ever hang any textiles or other materials over the heater
to dry. Only use the infrared radiant heater to heat open areas.

Do not use flammable or ignitable fluids or materials such as petrol, paint, gas canisters, etc.

in the immediate vicinity of the terrace heater. Do not use the terrace heater close to objects
such as gas tanks, gas pipes, spray cans, or the like; this can lead to a risk of fire and/or
explosion.

Terrace heaters bearing the code IP65 are suitable for outdoor use, which means they are

resistant to rain and splashing water. Make sure the terrace heater cannot fall into water and
do not expose the terrace heater to water jets.

You must avoid covering or blocking the terrace heater at all times, as this can cause the

device to overheat. The distance between the device and other objects must be at least 100
cm.

Terrace heaters become very hot during use. Do not touch the device during use, as this will

result in burns.

If at any time the device does not work properly for any reason or the cable and/or the plug

show signs of cracks, immediately take the terrace heater out of use by disconnecting the
electricity supply.
